Clare Senior Hurling Joint Managers Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor have a 40-strong squad of players to choose from for the upcoming round of Munster Senior Hurling League fixtures. The National League panel will be selected following the Munster Senior Hurling League.

Clare's Ballyea contingent (Tony Kelly, Jack Browne, Paul Flanagan, Gearoid O'Connell and Niall Deasy) will not be available for selection during the Munster Senior Hurling League as they prepare for their club's All Ireland Senior Club Championship Semi-Final clash with St Thomas' of Galway on February 4th.

Conor McGrath and Patrick O'Connor both recently underwent shoulder surgery and are unavailable for the Munster Senior League and are likely to miss much of the NHL. David McInerney is travelling abroad until March while Colin Ryan has opted not to make himself available for selection.

Patrick Donnellan and Ian Galvin are both expected to resume full training in late January having suffered cruciate ligament injuries in 2016.

Clare begin the defence of their Munster Senior Hurling League title with an away trip to Austin Stack Park in Tralee to face Kerry on Sunday 16th January at 2.00 p.m.
