Clare senior hurling management have confirmed that fullback David McInerney is a major doubt for the All Ireland Quarter Final clash with Tipperary on July 22. 

The Tulla clubman strained his hamstring in training on Tuesday evening. His injury is being assessed on an ongoing basis.
