Oisín O'Brien returned to full training with the Clare senior hurling panel this evening (Thursday).
Joint managers Donal Moloney and Gerry O’Connor confirmed the news to Club Clare following training at Caherlohan.
The Clonlara defender suffered a meniscal tear during Clare’s Division 1A defeat against Tipperary in March before undergoing keyhole surgery. It initially had been feared that O'Brien would miss the rest of the 2017 season.
O'Brien will now seek to regain his corner back position for the Munster Hurling Final against either Cork or Waterford on July 9th.
Meanwhile, Clare full-back David McInerney is continuing his recovery from a hamstring strain picked up in a Clare Cup game with Tulla on Saturday. Management have rated his chances of making the Munster Final as 50/50. Podge Collins is also recovering from an ankle injury picked up against Limerick on June 4th.
