In front of almost 20,000 spectators at Semple Stadium on Sunday, Clare registered their first win in the Munster championship since 2013.

The Banner County will now contest the Munster SHC Final against either Waterford or Cork, while Limerick will have to go through the backdoor if they are to progress in this year’s All-Ireland championship.

This week’s GAA.ie Hurler of the Week nominees are Shane O’Donnell (Clare), Sean Finn (Limerick) and Conor McGrath (Clare).

The voting process is simple: retweet the image of your chosen player on the GAA's official Twitter account (@officialgaa) or like their image on the GAA's official Facebook and Instagram pages. Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, June 6 and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.

Shane O’Donnell (Clare)

Since his heroics in the 2013 All-Ireland hurling final, Shane O'Donnell has endured a number of frustrating, injury-hampered years.

He looked like a hurler reborn though in Sunday's Munster semi-final win over Limerick, as he played with the sort of sparkle and ruthless finishing that first marked him out as such an exciting young prospect.

He ended proceedings with 2-2 from play, including two first half goals, the first of which was the purest strike of a ball of the ground that you’re likely to see in the championship.

Sean Finn (Limerick)

Limerick’s defence had their hands full against the Clare attack last Sunday but corner-back Sean Finn hurled manfully against the tide.

He made a number of vital interceptions and last-ditch tackles that kept Limerick in the game, and was especially prominent in the second-half.

The Bruff club man is more than just a stopper. He also made a number of sallies forward that turned attack into defence.

Conor McGrath (Clare)

After suffering a shoulder injury that forced him to miss the entirety of the national hurling league Clare’s Conor McGrath was straight in at full-forward for their win over Limerick and showed no signs of rustiness.

The Cratloe man scored three sweet points from play and struck the decisive blow of the match in the second-half when he hit Clare's third goal.

It was a classic poacher's finish from a player who has all the tools in his locker to be one of the most complete forwards in the country.
