The Clare Senior Hurling team to play Dublin in Sunday's Division 1A relegation playoff will be named following training this evening (Friday). Join Club Clare to receive news of the team before anyone else.

David Reidy came through training on Tuesday without any reoccurrence of the ankle injury that ruled him out of the Waterford game.

The Clare v Dublin will not be shown live on television but there will be highlights on RTÉ 2’s League Sunday programme which runs from 9:30pm to 11pm on Sunday night. There will be live commentary of the game on Clare FM.

Waterford's Barry Coughlan suffered a broken jaw during Sunday's game with Clare at Cusack Park. Coughlan was substituted late into second half injury time following a collision with Clare's John Conlon. Coughlan is likely to be out of action for at least two months.

Former Clare senior hurler Alan Markham (pictured) and Cratloe's David Collins starred for Sligo in their 3-17 to 1-14 defeat of Longford in Division 3B of the National League last Sunday.

Kilmaley's Michael O'Neill has been named on the HE GAA / Irish Independent Rising Stars Hurling Team. O'Neill starred for Mary I in the Fitzgibbon Cup this year.

Richie Power says he expects former Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald's full focus to be on a potential Leinster Championship meeting with Kilkenny in June when his Wexford side meets the Cats in the league quarter final this weekend. Power said, “Personally, I don’t see Davy Fitz putting out a full-strength side. Maybe I’m wrong. He has achieved what he wanted to achieve: He has got Wexford promoted. “Davy’s focus [assuming they win the Leinster quarter-final] will be on Wexford Park and that Leinster semi-final date with Kilkenny on that Saturday evening in June."
