Clare Senior Hurling Joint Managers Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor have confirmed that defender Oisín O'Brien sustained a cruciate knee ligament injury in Sunday's defeat to Tipperary.

The Clonlara clubman is likely to miss the rest of the season. O'Brien was stretchered off in the second half of the Allianz NHL Round 3 game at Semple Stadium.

O'Brien has been a regular for Clare since making his senior debut at corner back during The Banner's league campaign in 2016.
