Shane O'Donnell has been ruled out of action for Clare for a minimum of six weeks.
Clare Senior Hurling Joint Managers Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor have confirmed the 22-year-old Éire Óg clubman has suffered a knee injury and will not return to action until at least the middle of April.
Meanwhile, the extent of the knee injury picked up by Oisín O'Brien (Clonlara) during Sunday's defeat to Tipperary at Semple Stadium will not be known until later this week. O'Brien was stretchered off during the second half of the Allianz National Hurling League Round 3 game.
Ben O'Gorman will discover later this week if he can return to full training. The Wolfe Tones na Sionna player is recovering from a knee injury he picked up in early February.
