James Owens has been named referee for Clare's second game of the Allianz National Hurling League against Kilkenny this Sunday in Cusack Park at 2pm.

The Wexford man's most recent outing as referee in a Clare game came in the Banner's Qualifier victory over Limerick in Semple Stadium last year.

Clare will be seeking their first NHL points of 2017 this weekend having lost their opening game of the campaign to Cork on Saturday.
