Governance Charter

Objective

The primary goal of Club Clare Hurling Supporters is to secure funding for the provision of identified facilities, equipment and services for Clare hurling.

Financial Procedures

The Treasurer will maintain a record of all monies received and all costs associated with the operations of the group. In the event that the group ceases operation, all funds in the account will revert to the County Board.

All monies received will be remitted to the Treasurer who will issue receipts. Donations by cheque/bankdraft will always be requested - cash will only be accepted when no alternative is available and an interim receipt will immediately be issued in respect of any cash received pending issue of receipt by the Treasurer.

All payments will be made from the group bank account and must be authorised by the Manager and the Treasurer. Individual payments exceeding €5000 will also require the authorisation of the Chairman. The Treasurer will decide on cash handling arrangements for events which generate cash or require cash payments to suppliers.

Accountability

The Manager will prepare a schedule of support requirements. Funds raised by the group will only be used to deliver those supports. Any Management proposals to amend the schedule of supports must be advised to the group in advance.

The Manager will provide the group with a quarterly summary of supports which have been provided through the funding raised. Donors will receive the most recent half yearly accounts on request or automatically if the donation received via the Clubzap app.
